At the end of their tech-less week the whole family, but Mom, wanted to extend the experiment another week! Even the teens enjoyed their tech-less week! Mom on the other hand wanted to get her laptop back so she could work over time at home

I am told there exists some entrepreneurs who shut their home office door on Friday afternoons and don’t open it again until Monday! I guess it’s possible! Perhaps we need a few other hobbies other than tech!

Like you, only if I was on holiday. While I agree with the premise, my business is almost totally online. Going techless for a week means that I couldn’t work for that week. Setting up strict boundaries for the time I was able to work on the computer – and it would have to be limited to work only – would be the only way I could do this.

What would I do with my time? Firstly I think I’d use my work time better. Instead of being able to flit around the internet like I do now, knowing my time online was limited would mean that I’d have to use it better. Other than that, gardening, more running, catching up on my reading, more time with my family, cooking more (yum!).

The teens reaction to having all thier tech removed was interesting, do you know how they were by the end of the tech-less week?

I can’t see me unplugging any time soon, although I am working on taking at weekends off now.

Good point Ioan. I would spend more time in nature as well. I’d probably go camping for a week but I would use an “old fashion” map as opposed to my GPS! It would be fun.

So when are you shutting off all of your technology for a week to write your book?

I would go tech-Less I would care more for my garden, for my trees and flowers.

I could coach face to face, be engaged in social activities.

I would be able to start writing a book, very cleanly…

Shortly, be present in this very moment with my whole body, instead being in my head.

Sandra, does the handset actually display Skype contacts on it?

I have owned a plantronics wireless headset for years and it is by far the best quality phone I have used.

For Skype calls I currently use the Philips VOIP 3-2-1 and it works quite well even with Skype-out, Skype-In and Skype Voicemail.
