How I Sync an Online Calendar with Outlook

I have a number of calendar systems that I use, two of them being Outlook and Google Calendar. I can give my assistants access to my Google calendar so that they can book appointments for me and block off time so that I focus on client projects. I use Outlook to view all of my appointments, projects, due dates, and my personal/social appointments and events.

One of the questions you might have is “Why do you have 2 calendars? Isn’t that confusing?” Well it would be except that I use a tool that syncs my online calendar (Google Calendar) with Outlook and it does so every 30 minutes. So if I add an appointment in Outlook it will appear on my Google Calendar once it is synced, and vice versa. You can always force a sync when you need to, so you don’t have to wait for the next automated sync. So if you work with a team and you need to schedule appointments or meetings with each other or clients, here’s the tool you’ve been looking for.

Here’s a link to the “Google Calendar Sync” tool that I have been using: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=89955
