		<description>I routinely create PDFs from word documents and excel spreadsheets and other tools each month.  I have been using PDFCreator for several years now.  

Its a free tool that installs as a print driver.  To use it you select the proper printer to send the document to in the print dialog box.  

It also lets  you merge several documents together into one.
