Take action on climate change

Last year the people of Sydney, Australia were asked to turn off their lights for one hour to take action on climate change. This event became known as “Earth Hour”.

On 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney businesses turned off their lights for one hour – Earth Hour. If the greenhouse reduction achieved in the Sydney CBD during Earth Hour was sustained for a year, it would be equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year.

This year the whole world is shutting off their ligts for an hour. Learn more at http://www.earthhour.org and be sure to sign up for Earth Hour at http://www.earthhour.org/sign-up.

As someone who experienced the great black out of August 14-15 2003, you will really enjoy the experience. Get out your candles!

Earth Hour will take place March 29 2008 from 8pm– 9pm your time zone.
