Even the teens enjoyed their tech-less week! Mom on the other hand wanted to get her laptop back so she could work over time at home :) I am told there exists some entrepreneurs who shut their home office door on Friday afternoons and don't open it again until Monday! While I agree with the premise, my business is almost totally online. Going techless for a week means that I couldn't work for that week. Setting up strict boundaries for the time I was able to work on the computer - and it would have to be limited to work only - would be the only way I could do this. What would I do with my time? Firstly I think I'd use my work time better. Instead of being able to flit around the internet like I do now, knowing my time online was limited would mean that I'd have to use it better. Other than that, gardening, more running, catching up on my reading, more time with my family, cooking more (yum!). I would spend more time in nature as well. I'd probably go camping for a week but I would use an "old fashion" map as opposed to my GPS! :) It would be fun.
