I finally got a chance to sit down and think about my book today. Well I did more than just think. I created a rough outline for my book which makes me happy because now I feel like I have a structure to work with. Although the outline suggests a book of 20 chapters, I really hope I don’t make the book that long. It’s got to be a fun and quick read you know?
I also began thinking about ways in which I want to promote the book and even thought of a cool contest I’d like to run.
I may even begin a podcast/internet radio show related to the book!
So what is the book about? I’ll keep that for another post but I bet you can guess that it has something to do with technology and something to do with coaching!
If you’d like to be on our Book VIP list we will make sure you know when the book is ready, so you can be the first to get your hands on it and get it at a pre-release low price, enter your information below or send a blank email to bookvip@aweber.com
Back in October my Coach, Andrea Lee, told me that it was time I consider writing a book. She didn’t have to convince me. Afterall I knew I wanted to write a book ever since I started my business. So after tossing around a few ideas and being excited by the possibilities, I was off to start gathering my content and crossing off things on the “book to do” list.
Well it’s January and I haven’t done much in the area of my book.
On today’s call with Andrea she said “ok, well if you aren’t going to write your book that’s fine, write it some other time or don’t write it at all”…..”ugh?” I thought, “did I say I wasn’t going to write the book?….oh I see where she is going with this, I mean I am not writing thebook right now but I want to!” So I spoke up and told her, “I want to write it, I am just busy with all the other things I have to do for clients and my business.” [EXCUSES anyone?] Andrea then asked me to visualize myself holding my finished book in front of an audience. Then visualizing myself handing a copy of my book to my Mom! (That would be almost as good as the time she found out I made a delicious lasagna years ago!) Andrea, then asked me what it would be like to see my book in the hands of others. “What colour pen do you want to use when you autograph your books” she asked. “Green!” I replied, “it has to be green!”
